Where permitted by law, we also obtain relevant data from public and commercial third party sources, for example by purchasing statistical data from other companies to support our services. The information we collect depends on how you interact with GET3D, including the websites you visit or the products and services you use, including name, company name, job title, address, email address, phone number, login information (account and password), photograph, etc. We also collect information about you when you provide us with information about your business. We also collect information that you provide to us and the content of messages that you send to us, such as information that you enter in response to an inquiry or question, or information that you provide for customer service purposes. You may be asked to provide personal information when using GET3D products or services. In some cases, you may choose not to provide your personal information to GET3D, but if you choose not to do so, GET3D may not be able to provide you with the relevant products or services or respond to or resolve the problems you may encounter.

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

(a) Create an account.

(b) Fulfilling your transaction or service request, including fulfilling orders; delivering, activating or verifying products or services; providing training and certification and managing and processing the results of training and certification; attending online or offline events; making changes at your request or providing information you request (e.g. marketing materials for a product or service, white papers); and providing technical support.

(c) With your consent, to contact you; to send you information about products and services that may be of interest to you; to invite you to participate in GET3D events (including promotions), market research or satisfaction surveys; or to send you marketing information. You may unsubscribe at any time if you do not wish to receive such information.

  • Processing your personal data on the basis of your consent;
  • We may also process your personal data on the basis of compliance with and enforcement of legal obligations.

To ensure the proper functioning of our website, we sometimes store small data files called “Cookie”on your computer or mobile device. “Cookie”is a plain text file that is stored on a computer or mobile device by a web server. The contents of “Cookie” can only be retrieved or read by the server that created it. Each Cookie is unique to your web browser or mobile application. “Cookie” typically contain an identifier, the name of the website, and some numbers and characters. “Cookie” allow websites to store data such as user preferences or items in a shopping basket.

GET3D enables “Cookie”for the same purpose that most websites or Internet service providers enable “Cookie”for - to improve the user experience. With the help of”Cookie”, websites are able to remember a user’s single visit (using a session “Cookie”) or multiple visits (using a persistent “Cookie”). “Cookie” enable websites to remember settings such as the language of the computer or mobile device, font size and other browsing preferences. This means that users do not have to reconfigure their preferences each time they visit. If a website does not use “Cookie”, it treats a user as a new visitor every time he or she opens a web page. For example, if you log in to a website and then go to another page, the website will not recognise you and you will be logged out again. GET3D will not use “Cookie” for any purpose other than as described in this policy. You can delete any cookies stored on your computer, and most web browsers have a function to block “Cookie”.

Web beacons and pixel tags

In addition to “Cookie”, we use other similar technologies such as web beacons and pixel tags on our website. For example, emails sent to you by GET3D may contain click-through URLs that link to content on GET3D’s websites, and if you click on the link, GET3D tracks the click to help us understand your product and service preferences and improve customer service. A web beacon is typically a transparent image embedded in a website or email. With the help of pixel tags in emails, we are able to know whether an email has been opened or not. If you do not want your activity to be tracked in this way, you can unsubscribe from GET3D’s mailing list at any time.

Your use of our website means that you agree to the use of “Cookie”, web beacons and pixel tags as described above.

How GET3D discloses your personal data

In cases where certain services are provided by an authorised partner of GET3D, GET3D will share your personal data with that partner as described in this policy. For example, when you purchase a GET3D product online, GET3D must share your personal data with a logistics service provider in order to arrange for delivery or to arrange for the partner to provide the service. In addition, we may share personal data among GET3D’s affiliates.

GET3D may also disclose your personal data to relevant law enforcement authorities or other government agencies when required to do so by applicable law or in response to legal process, and where there is a legitimate need to do so, such as in connection with the performance of a contract, and where we believe that such disclosure is necessary and appropriate to prevent bodily harm or property damage or to investigate a possible or actual unlawful act.

When your modeling work is set to “Public” status, it means that you agree to disclose the access to your uploaded and derived (e.g. 3D model) data on GET3D, and you agree that we or our affiliates may use them to create promotional materials and for promotional activities.
